The bag that's been in our collection since the beginning, now in our favorite leather. Room for a laptop (up to 14" in the dedicated pocket, 16" in the main compartment) alongside documents, books, notebooks, and whatever the day brings.

The Leather: Suportlo
Suportlo is our favorite leather for bags, and it's one of the signature leathers of the French tannery that makes it — the kind of hide that defines a house.
It's a full-grain, pure aniline leather, which means nothing has been added to correct or conceal the surface. What you see is the hide itself: neck wrinkles, faint veining, the natural grain. These aren't flaws. They're the record of the animal and the reason no two bags are identical.
The process is unusually long. The hides are chrome-tanned, then retanned with vegetable tannins, then nourished in drums with fats and greases that work deep into the fiber. It takes six weeks from start to finish. That fat content is what gives Suportlo its strength, its resistance, and its particular hand — supple but substantial, never stiff.
It's also what makes the color live. Because the finished shade depends on how the fats settle, hides vary slightly from one to the next and from batch to batch. Your bag will be a shade of its own.
A note on blooming
After a few days, you may notice faint white marks on the surface. This is blooming — fats migrating naturally to the leather's exterior, and a sign the leather is doing exactly what it should. A gentle pass with a soft cloth brings the color back.
Suportlo doesn't stay the way it arrives. It darkens, deepens, and builds a patina where you carry it.
